Searching for identity with Paul Hudspith
September 1 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Merseyside Polonia presents the event about culture differences!
The diversity is interesting for some and difficult for others. That’s why it’s worth looking at it closer. Dealing with this topic will be Paul Hudspith, and Honorata Mikolajew.
Paul is a filmmaker, blogger, member of British Airways crew and he meets a lot of people from different countries. We will have a chance to see his short movies from his journeys and understand why he identifies himself as a citizen of the world.
Honorata worked in Poland as a radio presenter and a journalist and will be hosting the Q&A session with Paul during the first Scalarama event this year!
Join us this evening to see short films and listen to amazing stories!
The event is part of Scalarama film festival!
Scalarama (1-30 September 2019) is a celebration of cinema, for everyone, by everyone, everywhere, taking place every September.
Imagine a month of cinema – 30 days in which cinemas across the country join together to celebrate watching films together – where cities, towns and villages are transformed with cinemas popping up in unexpected places – and where classic, rare or locally made films get an annual showing. This is Scalarama!
Inspired by the energy and creativity of the legendary Scala Cinema (1978-1993), in 2011 a new festival was created that invited all cinemas to take part and share their passion. Since 2011, every September, cinemas, film clubs and film festivals plus various organisations and individuals who have a love for movies, have united to celebrate and encourage watching films together. This annual celebration sees September transform into a month of amazing films, screened in various locations and by all different types of people – from established picture palaces to newbies, completely new to screening films.
