If you like to have fun while learning new things about our solar system and planets, join us on the 2 nd of November!
Merseyside Polonia is bringing to you a special, fun workshop where you can learn about one of the greatest astronomers of all times- Mikołaj Kopernik! Polish astronomer who stopped the sun and
moved the earth with his controversial theory! This year we are celebrating 550 years since this great astronomer was born, and we invite you to celebrate this great scientist with us!


You will find us on the top floor, right next to Planetarium of the World Museum.


We can’t wait to see you!

Guest of the month

On the last Wednesday of the month at 6 pm we host an amazing member of our community who shares his/her passion with us.


Living your passion and embracing it fully gives a lot of happiness and satisfaction, but the beginnings can be hard, especially when you have work and other responsibilities.

Each of the guests talks about their experiences, how wove passion into their life, what obstacles they encountered on the way, and how they faced them to be able to fulfill their dreams.


Meetings are informal, full of laughter and for everyone who wants to sit in a friendly circle.

Gość Miesiąca – Spotkania w biurze

W ostatnią środę miesiąca o godzinie 18:00 gościmy niesamowitego członka naszej społeczności, który/która dzieli się z nami swoją pasją.


Życie według swoich pasji i upodobań daje dużo szczęścia i satysfakcji jednak początki bywają ciężkie, zwłaszcza gdy ma się wiele zajęć i obowiązków.


Każdy z gości opowiada o swoich doświadczeniach, w jaki sposób wplótł swoją pasję do swojego życia, jakie napotkał przeszkody na swojej drodze, oraz jak się z nimi zmierzył aby móc spełniać swoje
marzenia.


Spotkania są nieformalne, pełne śmiechu i dla wszystkich, którzy mają ochotę posiedzieć w przyjaznym
gronie.

Yoga and Pilates classes

Merseyside Polonia engages the Polish community in weekly yoga and Pilates classes. During the summer months, classes are held at Sefton Park or Festival Gardens every Sunday at 10:30. In autumn, we are going continue the classes in a studio.


Classes are run by an experienced yoga instructor free of charge, as part of the Community Champion project for Polish Community.
We cordially invite everyone to participate in the classes.

Zajęcia Jogi i Pilates – Ćwiczenia grupowe

Merseyside Polonia angażuje społeczność polską w cotygodniowych zajęciach jogi i pilates. W sezonie letnim zajęcia odbywają się w Sefton Parku lub Festival Gardens w każdą niedzielę o 10:30. Jesienią,
zajęcia zostaną przeniesione do studio jogi.


Zajęcia prowadzone są przez doświadczoną instruktorkę jogi bezpłatnie, w ramach projektu dla Poloni Community Champion.
Serdecznie zapraszamy wszystkich do udziału w zajęciach.

Ride with Polonia

With the help of Cycling UK, Merseyside Sports Partnership and Liverpool City Council, our cycling group “Ride with Polonia” was launched in April 2023.

The group’s task is to promote a healthy and more active lifestyle, as well as to connect people and support the development of the Polish community in Liverpool.

We meet every other week on Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00.


Our routes are for beginners and intermediate cyclists, we cordially invite everyone who wants to increase physical activity in a friendly and supportive group.


Since July, we have access to the bicycle hangar in Croxteth Park, so people can rent a bike free of
charge.


Thanks to our patron the Cycling UK, members have access to free cycling courses. So, by riding with us, you will not only increase your activity, but also improve your riding technique, learn how to repair
bicycles and much more.


In “Ride with Polonia” we have three group leaders who make sure safety of ride participants. They are also trained in first aid, so you can feel safe with us!

Grupa rowerowa

Z pomocą organizacji Cycling UK, Merseyside Sports Partnership oraz Liverpool City Council od kwietnia 2023 wystartowała nasza grupa rowerowa “Ride with Polonia”. 


Grupa ma za zadanie promowanie aktywnego trybu życia, upowrzechnianie kultury fizycznej, łączeniu ludzi oraz wspomaganie rozwoju polskiej społeczności w Liverpoolu. 

Spotykamy się co drugi tydzień w czwarek od 18:00 do 20:00. 

Nasze trasy są dla początkujących oraz średnio zaawansowanych rowerzystów, także zapraszamy serdecznie wszystkich, którzy chcą zwiększyć aktywność fizyczną w przyjaznym gronie.


Od lipca mamy rónież dostęp do hangaru rowerowego w Croxteth Parku, tak więc osoby, które nie posiadają roweru, mogą bezpłatnie wypożyczyć rower. 

Dzięki naszemu patronowi Cycling UK, członkowie klubu mają dostęp do bezpłatych kursów rowerowych. Tak więc, jeżdżąc z nami nie tylko zwiększysz swoją aktywność fizyczną, ale także poprawisz technikę jazdy, nauczysz się naparwy rowerów i wiele więcej. 

W “Ride with Polonia” mamy trzech liderów grupy, którzy dbają o bezpieczeństwo uczestników podczas przejażdżek. Posiadają również przeszkolenie w zakresie pierwszej pomocy, także z nami możesz czuć się bezpiecznie!

Polish Heritage Tour in Liverpool

Join us for a walking tour through Liverpool city centre to discover stories and often unknown connections of the local Polish Community and the city.

Are you interested in local history?
Do you know the links between the Polish Community and Liverpool?
Are you aware of any interesting stories to share of the Poles in Liverpool?

Join Merseyside Polonia for walking Polish Heritage Tour to explore our shared local history here in Liverpool. Spend some active yet relaxed time with like minded people, learn and discover unknown
facts and immerse yourself in the beauty of our city.
We are starting our walk from Pier Head- outside Museum of Liverpool, and we will take you on a walk through history and the city centre of Liverpool. The tour will finish in Abercromby Square.


Our community is often associated with migration during WWII and shortly after Poland joined EU. Our history and contribution to Liverpool, and the U.K., started much earlier yet many stories are still hidden in the city’s archives. Join us to discover what we’ve learnt so far, and share with us your own stories that involves Polish community ; migration movements, history and culture.


We can’t wait to meet you!
*The tour will be delivered in English but translation to Polish will be provided were necessary.

Battle of Atlantic 80 th Anniversary celebrations

Battle of Atlantic 80 th Anniversary celebrations to include
unveiling of new memorial plaque for Polish Navy and Polish
merchants who fought in the battle.

On 28 th of May 2023 at 12:45pm a new plaque honouring Polish Navy and Polish merchant personnel will be unveiled during the official celebrations concluding the BoA80 memorial weekend.

The new plaque will be unveiled by the Lord Mayor, Cllr, Mary Rasmussen accompanied by Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Manchester, Michał Mazurek and the director of Polish Institute of National Remembrance, Adam Siwek.

The plaque honours Polish Navy servicemen who supported allied efforts during the battle between 1939-1945. Over 4000 Polish navy personnel served during the six-years long battle and almost half a thousand lost their lives. Polish Navy was heavily involved in operation against The Bismarck and took part in D-Day. On the 28 th of May 1940 Polish boat Błyskawica, which means Lightning in Polish, was ordered to patrol on Dunkirk evacuation and to provide Anti-Aircraft cover for Allied vessels. The very next day Błyskawica, towed crippled Royal Navy destroyer HMS Greyhound from Dunkirk to Dover saving lives of 1000 British soldiers. ‘Błyskawica” also defended the Isle of Wight from the attack of Luftwaffe. Polish Navy personnel contributed to the great victory of the Battle of Atlantic. The new plaque forms a part of Liverpool Naval Memorial.

The new memorial plaque was funded by the Polish Institute of National
Remembrance.
